Geotechnical Engineering Exploration and Analysis with track-mounted drill rig for Wilkinsen Residence situated on the toe of the slope between mountainous topography above and South Mill River below. The single-story structure was approximately 3,000 to 4,000 square feet in plan area over a walk out basement. Due to very loose/soft alluvial soils and shallow ground water table, the foundations required over excavation a minimum of 4 feet deep and replacement with compacted crushed stone to allow for conventional shallow foundation construction.
