A driveway fill slope and boulder wall failure occurred on or about December 25, 2015 in the vicinity of where the driveway crosses the natural drainage draw. The driveway fill slope and boulder wall failure was approximately 100 feet long and left an approximately 15 to 20 feet tall vertical or near vertical scarp with slope failure mass and fallen trees below. Lake Locassee is located at the bottom of the slope. Gentry prepared retaining wall plans and specifications to repair the slope failure. The retaining wall consisted of Verti-Block 36-inch standard units geogrid reinforced with a maximum exposed height of 17 1/3 feet. The toe of the retaining wall and slope below the toe of the wall was covered with rip-rap.
