PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

Mr. Wale has over 20 years of progressive engineering design, analysis, management and leadership experience. His work has involved complex, multi-project, multi-discipline environments that dealt with a broad range of clients. Responsibilities have included project management, project cost estimating, proposal preparation, training of staff engineers, field and laboratory technicians, and oversight of excavating contractors and core drill operators.

Mr. Wale has worked as an engineer and manager for local engineering firms, leading project teams on numerous design and construction projects involving geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, construction materials testing and structural inspection in at least 3 different states.

He has excellent interpersonal skills and has demonstrated an ability to manage a team of varied disciplines with an in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between each entity. In addition, he has a strong background in strategic planning, budgeting, task organization, contract administration and personnel management.

Mr. Wale’s geotechnical design experience includes the design of mechanically stabilized earth, segmental, precast modular block, and boulder retaining walls, helical piers, shallow and deep foundations and underground drainage solutions. His geotechnical evaluation experience includes evaluating natural and fill soils for slope stability, bearing capacity, retaining wall design parameters and construction recommendations. Evaluation methods include visual observations, field exploration, laboratory testing, slope stability analysis and foundation settlement calculations.

Mr. Wale’s construction materials testing experience includes quality control, testing and inspection during the construction of residential, commercial, and federal government projects. His experience includes testing, inspection and monitoring of retaining wall installation, proof-roll operations, geogrid placement, reinforcing steel inspection, concrete placement and structural steel inspection.

Mr. Wale possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to address complex technical issues concisely and effectively, translating it into information that can be understood by non-technical individuals. His skill set includes effective review and interpretation of information related to building codes and material/design standards with a comprehensive understanding of the technical and field applications of a product or service.

In addition to the geotechnical engineering field, Mr. Wale was a Right-of-Way Inspector for Montgomery County in Rockville, Maryland, where he was responsible for a variety of tasks including permit review, recommendations, and compliance, research and data verification pertaining to maps, drawings and codes, reviewing plans, specifications and development tools, and determining permits fees and bond requirements.
